Making your Scenic Rim business wildlife-friendly

Join the Wildlife Queensland Scenic Rim Branch for a FREE workshop to learn how to make your Scenic Rim business more wildlife-friendly.

A great way to demonstrate your business’s commitment to the environment is by learning how you can support the wonderful array of wildlife we have here in the Scenic Rim. You can also share what you’re already doing or simply exchange ideas.

We welcome people from all kinds of businesses in the Scenic Rim – tour providers, cattle farmers, orchardists, shop owners, accommodation providers, manufacturers, and everyone in between! Come along to present your ideas and hear those of others. No matter your type of business, there are ways to make it more wildlife-friendly. This can be done either directly, such as by planting native shrubs (and choosing the right kinds for the right places) on your premises, or indirectly, through your choice of products (whether food ingredients, building materials, or pest control methods).

Not currently running a business but interested in joining the discussion and sharing ideas? You’re still very welcome!

We will also soon be launching a series of short educational webinars focused on our local wildlife, especially directed at local businesses (such as accommodation providers, restaurants, service stations, craft shops, etc.) likely to be in a position to pass on knowledge and suggestions to visitors coming for the Olympics and exploring the region – stay tuned.

RSVP to scenicrim@wildlife.org.au  by 9 May for the first workshop and 17 May for the second so we can estimate numbers.
